The game between Top Four teams took place in Szolnok. Second ranked host Szolnok (21-11) defeated one of their biggest challengers Kormend (19-14) 82-70. Szolnok players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Kormend was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Croatian center Marjan Cakarun (204-1990) who scored that evening 19 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian Roko Badzim (194-1997) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Even 25 points and 4 assists by American guard Maliek White (190-1998, college: Providence) did not help to save the game for Kormend. His fellow American import point guard Kamau Stokes (183-1995, college: Kansas St.) added 8 points and 7 assists for the guests. Kormend's coach Antonis Konstantinides rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Szolnok maintains second position with 21-11 record having just eight point less than leader OSE Lions. Kormend at the other side keeps the third place with 14 games lost. Szolnok will play against Alba (#4) in Szekesfehervar in the next round. Kormend will play at home against the league's leader Szombathely and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
