Schio have been crowned the Serie A1 champions. They edged Bologna on the road in Game 4 to lift the 11th A1 trophy in their history. Schio outrebounded Bologna 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of French center Sandrine Gruda (193-1987) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and Latvian forward Kitija Laksa (186-1996, college: S.Florida) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Kitija Laksa was named the Finals MVP. At the losing side Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-1997) responded with 26 points and 4 steals (made all of her eight free throws) and international forward Cecilia Zandalasini (186-1996) scored 13 points. Four Bologna players scored in double figures.
