Quarter-Finals Round 3: Vera - Batumi 69-89

The game without a history. Batumi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Vera's 26. They outrebounded Vera 43-24 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Batumi shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a good game for international swingman Saba Lobjanidze (197-1993) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Beka Bekauri (209-1991, agency: BIG) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. Power forward Vakhtang Kadaria (205-1989, college: Mineral Area) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Aubrey McAlpine (196-1989, college: RMU, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points in the effort for Vera. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
