Regular Season Round 33: Roanne - Gravelines 76-77

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 13th ranked Roanne (11-21) was edged at home by fourteenth ranked Gravelines (10-23) 77-76 on Thursday. Gravelines made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Zati Loubaki (200-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Maxime Sconard (195-2003) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Arthur Minkonda (204-2002) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and guard Eliott Mariscal (192-2002) added 6 points and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. Roanne's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Gravelines went down to fifteenth position due to points difference. Loser Roanne dropped to the twelfth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Le Portel. Gravelines will meet at home Orleans (#17) in the next round. Roanne will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#5) and hope to secure a win.
