Valur nipped Tindastoll to celebrate the opening victory in the Finals. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-79. Valur outrebounded Tindastoll 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. The former international forward Kristofer Acox (200-1993, college: Furman) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and British forward Callum Lawson (198-1996, college: ACU, agency: Players Group) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds.
