The game was mostly controlled by Aris. Larissa BC was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Anthony Cowan Jr (183-1997, college: Maryland) stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Eric Lockett (196-1995, college: NC State) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Lockett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Aris players scored in double figures. At the losing side Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Stefan Moody (179-1993, college: Ole Miss) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Aris have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Larissa BC at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Aris will play against Apollon P. (#11) in Patra in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Larissa BC will play at home against Ionikos (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
