Regular Season Round 33: Breogan - Barca 72-74

Eleventh-ranked Breogan (14-15) made lots of trouble for first ranked Barca (25-7) in Lugo on Saturday. The visitors from Barcelona managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was American-Ugandan center Brandon Davies (208-1991, college: BYU, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Alex Abrines (198-1993) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Sergi Quintela (185-1996) who recorded 11 points and 5 rebounds and Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-1990, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Barca have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 25-7 record. Breogan at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Barca are looking forward to face Bilbao (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Breogan will play against Fuenlabrada in Madrid and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
