Villeneuve D'Ascq outrebounded Angers 38-23 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Jolene Anderson (173-1986, college: Wisconsin) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. The former international Johanne Gomis-Halilovic (179-1985) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Villeneuve D'Ascq players scored in double figures. Villeneuve D'Ascq's coach Rachid Meziane used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Alexis Peterson (173-1995, college: Syracuse) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists (made all of her seven free throws) and American-Nigerian power forward Oderah Chidom (193-1995, college: Duke) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Angers.
