Regular Season Round 33: Blois - Nancy 80-88

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Blois. First ranked Sluc Nancy faced 4th placed ADA Blois. Guests from Nancy (26-9) defeated host ADA Blois (20-14) 88-80. They outrebounded ADA Blois 33-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Sluc Nancy especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for Stephane Gombauld (205-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Caleb Walker (194-1989, college: Nebraska) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Senegalese Mbaye Ndiaye (203-1999) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Tyren Johnson (201-1988, college: La-Lafayette) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for ADA Blois. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Sluc Nancy. They maintain first place with 26-9 record. ADA Blois at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. Sluc Nancy will play against Chalon/Saor (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ADA Blois will play against Tours and hopes to get back on the winning track.
