TalTech trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 26-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-75 at the end of the game. Tartu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Braxton Huggins (196-1996, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian point guard Oleksandr Kovliar (188-2002) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Tartu players scored in double figures. Tartu's coach Nikolajs Mazurs used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oliver Metsalu (196-1993) answered with 23 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American point guard Brandon Childress (183-1997, college: Wake Forest) added 16 points and 6 assists in the effort for TalTech.
