Kauhajoki upset Vilpas on the road to open 3-1 lead in the Finals. Vilpas cut a 15-point first quarter deficit to three at the end of the game. Kauhajoki looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Cameron Jones (193-1989, college: NAU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. The other American import swingman Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Brian Fobbs (196-1998, college: Towson) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Roope Ahonen (187-1990, agency: Blacktop Management) added 16 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Vilpas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
