Regular Season Round 33: Koroivos - Karditsas 61-60

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Karditsas (24-4) on the court of sixth ranked Koroivos on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Koroivos 61-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Karditsas. Strangely Karditsas outrebounded Koroivos 55-36 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Sarandis Mastrogiannopoulos (194-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) who saved his team from a defeat with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian guard Stefan Mitrovic (195-1996) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 20 rebounds and point guard Dimitris Verginis (194-1987, agency: Wasserman) added 19 points in the effort for Karditsas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Koroivos maintains sixth place with 17-11 record. Karditsas at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost.
