Quarter-Finals Round 2: H.Galil Gilboa - H.Jerusalem 61-96
Date: May 17, 2022
The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Jerusalem. Galil Gilboa managed to win fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Jerusalem dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Galil Gilboa's 30. They outrebounded Galil Gilboa 49-29 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Jalen Adams (191-1995, college: UConn) notched 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international Adam Ariel (195-1994, agency: Avi Zilberman) supported him with 14 points. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Even 3 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Derek Cooke Jr (206-1991, college: Wyoming) did not help to save the game for Galil Gilboa. His fellow American import swingman Ronnie Harrell Jr (201-1996, college: Denver) added 9 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
