Regular Season Round 34: Castello - Acunsa GBC 92-93

A very close game took place in Castellon between Acunsa GBC and Castello. Eleventh ranked Acunsa GBC (17-17) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Castello (16-17). Acunsa GBC managed to escape with a 1-point win 93-92 in the fight for the tenth place. Strangely Castello outrebounded Acunsa GBC 45-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Icelandic point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-1991, college: Newberry, agency: Duran International) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ander Martinez (199-1995) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Eric Stutz (205-1992, college: EKU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Calvin Hermanson (200-1994, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Helping Ballers) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Acunsa GBC and four Castello players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Acunsa GBC moved-up to tenth place. Castello lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
