They outrebounded Peristeri 39-23 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Peristeri's players. Cypriot-Bulgarian Aleksandar Vezenkov (206-1995) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Kostas Sloukas (190-1990) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists during the contest. International point guard Dimitris Moraitis (194-1999) responded with 11 points and 6 assists and Polish forward Tomasz Gielo (205-1993, college: Ole Miss, agency: Network Sports International) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
