Piacenza made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Scafati outrebounded Piacenza 58-44 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Gabe DeVoe (191-1995, college: Clemson) fired 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Gherardo Sabatini (183-1994) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Piacenza's coach Stefano Salieri used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Riccardo Rossato (190-1996, agency: Players Group) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Ed Daniel (202-1990, college: Murray St.) added 9 points and 19 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Scafati players scored in double figures.
