ADA Blois made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 JA Vichy turnovers. Point guard Thomas Cornely (190-1991) stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 assists and 8 steals for the winners and Senegalese Mbaye Ndiaye (203-1999) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. Five ADA Blois players scored in double figures. At the losing side Nigerien center Serge Mourtala (212-1998) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Ivorian Cedric Bah (198-1994) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
