Olympiacos cruised past Promitheas to complete the sweep of the semifinal series. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.3 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Olympiacos forced 21 Promitheas turnovers and outrebounded them 37-16 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Kostas Papanikolaou (204-1990) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international point guard Kostas Sloukas (190-1990) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) who recorded 13 points and the other American import swingman Trevis Simpson (193-1991, college: UNCG) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
