American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-1989, college: Butler) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and forward Iris Ikangi (200-1994, agency: SLN) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Cameroonian power forward Philippe Bayehe (203-1999) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Lorenzo Bucarelli (198-1998) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
