ASVEL bounced back from the opening loss in the Finals. They stormed past Monaco in Lyon to draw things even. The game without a history. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Monaco's 28 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Monaco's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
