Regular Season Round 2: KR - Hamar 75-41

Date: September 28, 2022
There was no surprise in Reykjavik where Hamar was crushed by KR 75-41. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hamar to just 5 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Hamar 59-30 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Violet Morrow (176-1997, college: EWU, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Hulda Bergsteinsdottir (180-1999) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Morrow is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Jenna Mastellone (178-1999, college: SFU) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Emma Hakonardottir (180-2005) added 3 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hamar. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KR will play against Athena in Reykjavík in the next round where they are favorite. Hamar will play at home against Breidablik B and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
