Rapid used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Miercurea Ciuc 100-64 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. Rapid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Miercurea Ciuc's 38. They outrebounded Miercurea Ciuc 48-30 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Rapid looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Tyler Stone (203-1991, college: SEMO) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import Christopher Evans (203-1991, college: Kent St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rapid players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Andrija Draskovic (196-1994) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Nemanja Manojlovic (197-1993) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rapid will meet at home Ploiesti CSM in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miercurea Ciuc will play against Sibiu and hope to win that game.
