Regular Season Round 3: Novy Jicin - Brno 2 100-56

Everything went according to plan when Novy Jicin (3-0) outscored at home Brno 2 (1-2) 100-56 on Friday. Novy Jicin dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Brno 2's 32. Novy Jicin forced 22 Brno 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Italian Gianluca Prosek (197-2000) who scored 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-1993, college: Des Moines A.) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jaroslav Kubin (205-2000) who recorded 14 points and forward Simon Svoboda (194-2004) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
