Regular Season Round 2: Les Sables - Lorient 90-75

There was a minor upset in Les Sables-D'Ollone where Lorient was defeated by Les Sables 90-75 on Saturday. Les Sables dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lorient's 22. Les Sables forced 21 Lorient turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Gregory Lessort (198-1985) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Jackson Trapp (193-1992, college: FAU) chipped in 20 points. Trapp is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Les Sables players scored in double figures. Naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-1987) produced 11 points and 6 assists and point guard Quentin Hanck (192-1993) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Lorient's coach rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Les Sables will meet CFBB in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lorient will play against Lourdes-Tarbes and hope to win that game.
