Regular Season Round 3: Aachen - Bonn 2 71-76

But Aachen was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Bonn 76-71 on Saturday night. Bonn 2 forced 21 Aachen turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jamel McAllister (201-1991, college: WSSU) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Point guard Noah Voelzgen (186-2002) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Swingman Tim Schoenborn (193-1990) came up with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Aleksandar Obradovic (193-1991, college: HSC) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Aachen in the defeat. Aachen's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bonn 2 will meet BSV Wulfen (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aachen will play against Muenster 2 (#14) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
