There was a surprise result when Licher Basket (1-2) won against on the road Bensheim (1-2) 101-95 on Saturday. Licher Basket made 23-of-24 free shots (95.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Felix-Frederik Schweizer accounted for 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Licher Basket's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Felix Becker came up with 29 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Yann Groehlich (175-1987) added 19 points and 8 assists respectively for Bensheim in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Licher Basket will meet at home Limburg (#13) in the next round. Bensheim will play against Kronberg (#12) and hope to win that game.
