The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Kangaroos on the court of Wolmirstedt on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Wolmirstedt 98-66. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kangaroos' 24. 24 personal fouls committed by Kangaroos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Bill Borekambi (199-1992, college: Sequoias CC) stepped up and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Croatian forward Luka Kamber (203-1994, college: Nicholls St.) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. At the losing side Croatian point guard Toni Prostran (183-1991) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Joshua Dahmen (193-1992) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolmirstedt is looking forward to face Vechta-2 on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kangaroos will play against RheinStars and are hoping to win this game.
