Regular Season Round 3: Saarlouis - Langen 90-83

Saarlouis defeated TV Langen at home 90-83. Saarlouis dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TV Langen's 34. They outrebounded TV Langen 48-34 including a 42-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saarlouis players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by TV Langen's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Ricky Easterling (189-1983, college: Bridgewater) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import center Jordan Camper (203, college: Lincoln, PA) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Henk Droste (195-2001) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Risto Vasiljevic (195-2001) scored 23 points. Four TV Langen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TV Langen will play next round against Mannheim trying to get back on the winning streak. Saarlouis will try to continue on its current victory against Ulm BBU 01 at home.
