The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of MBK in Piestany on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Piestanske C. 75-53. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to MBK's 22. Piestanske C. forced 21 MBK turnovers and had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward KeShunan James (184-1994, college: Murray St.) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Anna Jurcenkova (196-1985) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Alexandra Buknova (-1999) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds and Lucia Hadacova (185-1995) scored 4 points and 11 rebounds. Piestanske C. are looking forward to face Young Angels in Kosice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBK will play at home against Poprad and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
