Regular Season Round 3: Ourense - Castello 78-74

There was a minor upset when Castello (1-2) was defeated on the road by Ourense (1-2) 78-74 on Friday. Ourense outrebounded Castello 34-22 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Ourense especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Chaz Williams (175-1991, college: UMass, agency: Helping Ballers) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. North Macedonian-Bulgarian forward Stojan Gjuroski (203-1991, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: BIG) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. Five Ourense players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Eric Stutz (203-1992, college: EKU) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ourense will meet Coruna (#12) on the road in the next round. Castello will play against Cantabria and hope to win that game.
