Regular Season Round 2: Koroivos - AO Triton 70-74

Very expected game when Koroivos was defeated at home by AO Triton 74-70 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AO Triton made 7 blocks. Guard Michalis Polytarchou (190-1983) scored 27 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-1995) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. AO Triton's coach Margarita Malama used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Nikolaos Kamaras (201-1997) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American swingman Julien Lewis (193-1992, college: Fresno St.) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. AO Triton will meet at home Kavalas in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Koroivos will play against Panerythraikos in New Eritrea and hope to win that game.
