Regular Season Round 3: La Flecha - La Leonesa 60-102

Everything went according to plan in Arroyo Encomienda where La Leonesa (2-0) outleveled La Flecha (0-2) 102-60 on Saturday. La Leonesa dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to La Flecha's 36. They outrebounded La Flecha 58-32 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. La Leonesa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by La Flecha's players. It was a great evening for Argentinian swingman Federico Copes (199-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Andorra center Aaron Guzman (199-1998) helped adding 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five La Leonesa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Millan Lopez (185-1994) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Francisco Quiros (191-2004) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. La Leonesa will meet Betanzos (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. La Flecha will play against Marin (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
