Gran Canaria 2 used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Salou 78-67 on Saturday night. It was a great evening for Dominican forward Yeikson Montero (196-1996, college: EMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian guard Dylan Bordon (190-2004) helped adding 15 points and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-1990) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Justinas Olechnavicius (194-1994) scored 13 points. Four Salou players scored in double figures. Gran Canaria 2 will meet Cornella (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Salou will play against Godella (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
