But Real Canoe was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Morón de la Frontera 93-64 on Saturday night. Moron dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Real Canoe's 44. Moron forced 22 Real Canoe turnovers and outrebounded them 44-26 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American center Riley Hayes (203-1998, college: Catholic) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Manuel Vazquez (202-1998) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Moron players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Jorge Parra (192-1998) with 21 points and swingman Marco Echeverria (190-2002) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. Moron will meet at home Burgos in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Canoe will play against La Roda (#3) and hope to win that game.
