The most surprising game was a loss of United in Innsbruck on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Raiders Tirol 97-64. The game without a history. Raiders Tirol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Raiders Tirol forced 21 United turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Slovenian guard Ziga Habat (193-1997, college: Highland, IL) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Slovenian forward Gasper Rojko (200-1996) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Raiders Tirol's coach Amir Medinov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Mathias Mailath-Pokorny (-2002) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Obinna Ndukwe (183-2003) added 14 points in the effort for United. Four United players scored in double figures. Raiders Tirol is looking forward to face Lions in Dornbirn in the next round. United will play at home against Mustangs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
