Regular Season Round 4: USK Praha - Brno 95-73

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Brno (2-1) on the court of fourth ranked USK Praha on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by USK Praha 95-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brno. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The winners were led by the former international forward David Bohm (206-2001, college: EWU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and American guard PJ Pipes (188-1999, college: Santa Clara, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 27 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Even 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by international point guard Richard Balint (192-1996) did not help to save the game for Brno. Power forward Jakub Krakovic (205-1990) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Brno players scored in double figures. Brno's coach Lubomir Ruzicka gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. USK Praha (3-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Brno dropped to the sixth place with one game lost. They share the position with NH Ostrava. USK Praha will meet Olomoucko (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Brno will have a break next round.
