Gaziantep used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Buyukcekmece 79-61 on Sunday night. It was a great evening for American swingman Damyean Dotson (196-1994, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import Leyton Hammonds (203-1994, college: OK State, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. Five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-1996) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep will meet Konyaspor (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buyukcekmece will play against Turk Telekom (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
