Regular Season Round 5: Decin - Slavia 80-63

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Decin as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Decin defeated 8th ranked Slavia at home 80-63. Forward Matej Svoboda (200-1996, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-1989) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Decin players scored in double figures. Decin's coach Tomas Grepl used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Adam Dworsky (180-1998, college: SE Oklahoma) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovakian guard Robert Rozanek (191-1996) scored 16 points. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Slavia keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Slavia will play next round against strong Nymburk trying to get back on the winning streak. Decin will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Hradec Kralove on the road.
