Regular Season Round 1: M.Ramat Gan - E.Ramla 74-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of M.Ramat Gan in Ramat Hen on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by E.Ramla 81-74. E.Ramla outrebounded M.Ramat Gan 47-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for E.Ramla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Shakira Austin (196-1999, college: Ole Miss, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Bernice Mosby (186-1984, college: Baylor) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. Four E.Ramla players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Jillian Alleyne (190-1994, college: Oregon, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and swingman Maya Caldwell (180-1998, college: Georgia) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. E.Ramla is looking forward to face H.Petah Tikva at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. M.Ramat Gan will play against Ramat H. in Ramat Hasharon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
