Regular Season Round 6: BG TVO / Jahn - Hamm 95-88

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Hamm (3-3) lost to fifth ranked BG TVO / Jahn (3-3) in Lindhorst 88-95 on Friday. BG TVO / Jahn forced 20 Hamm turnovers. American guard Shawn Scott (185-1996, college: SW Christian) notched a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Marcel Weiss supported him with 21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Worth to mention Scott played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Even 42 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by American guard John Murry (192-1995, college: Austin Peay) did not help to save the game for Hamm. Naturalized Bosnian forward Mateo Zovko (193-1998, college: Laramie CC) added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted BG TVO / Jahn maintains fifth position in West with 3-3 record, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Hamm. Hamm lost third consecutive game. BG TVO / Jahn will meet at home Aachen (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hamm will play against the league's second-placed Recklinghausen (#2) and hope to secure a win.
