Regular Season Round 4: Moron - Burgos 61-72

Very predictable result when top-ranked Burgos (4-0) won against 6th ranked Moron (2-2) in Morón de la Frontera 72-61 on Saturday. Burgos made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Moron outrebounded Burgos 45-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by guard Didac Cuevas (178-2000) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 steals and American guard Joe Cremo (193-1996, college: Villanova) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Burgos' coach Diego Ocampo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by American center Riley Hayes (203-1998, college: Catholic) did not help to save the game for Moron. Forward Manuel Vazquez (202-1998) added 10 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Burgos maintains first position in Silver with 4-0 record. Loser Moron dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Burgos will meet at home league's second-placed La Roda in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Moron will play against Zornotza (#7) in Amorebieta-Echano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
