Regular Season Round 3: Turk Telekom - H.Tel-Aviv 89-77

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Eurocup took place in Ankara where host Turkish Turk Telekom (2-1) beat Israeli Hapoel Tel-Aviv (2-1) 89-77 on Wednesday evening. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was French forward Axel Bouteille (201-1995, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jerian Grant (196-1992, college: Notre Dame) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Tomer Ginat (202-1994, agency: Avi Zilberman) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Jordan McRae (197-1991, college: Tennessee) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play next round against Trento trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Turk Telekom will try to continue on its current victory against WKS Slask in Wroclaw.
