Regular Season Round 4: Future Team - United 65-79

There was no surprise in Steiermark where bottom-ranked Future Team (0-4) was defeated by tenth ranked United (2-2) 79-65 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by United. Future Team managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Future Team to just 5 points in fourth quarter. United dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Future Team's 32. United forced 36 Future Team turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Italian guard Bruno Golino (189-2002) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Oleksandr Ponosov (187-2004) who added 18 points and 9 steals during the contest. At the losing side Dimitrije Vukicevic responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Valdemar Hansen scored 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. United moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Future Team still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. United's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vienna Flames.
