Rather predictable result when fifth ranked PAOK (3-1) won against 7th ranked Dafni Agioy (1-3) in Thessaloniki 75-62 on Saturday. PAOK made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Dafni Agioy turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Zada Williams (188-1996, college: Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Evgenia Kollatou (172-1998) supported her with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. Even 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Kayla Wells (183-1999, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Dafni Agioy. The former international guard Aikaterini Spatharou (172-1983) added 18 points and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws) for lost side. PAOK moved-up to third place, which they share with Eleutheria M. and Chania. Loser Dafni Agioy dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Eunikos and Niki Lefkadas. PAOK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena Panathlitikos.
