There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Koeln DTV (2-5) crushed at home 3rd placed Hertener Loewen (4-3) 85-61 on Saturday. Koeln DTV forced 19 Hertener Loewen turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Patrick Reusch (185-1993) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists. American-British guard Elijah Jenkins (190, college: Embry Riddle) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Koeln DTV's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Cody Schwartz (203, college: Green Bay) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Dutch guard Casey Lopes (190-1997) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Hertener Loewen in the defeat. Koeln DTV moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hertener Loewen keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with 10 other teams.
