Regular Season Round 7: Slovanka MB - Loko Trutnov 84-91

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Vodochody where 8th ranked Slovanka MB (1-4) was defeated by ninth ranked Loko Trutnov (2-6) 91-84 on Saturday. Loko Trutnov shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Michaela Gaislerova (180-1997, college: NDSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points. American forward Whisper Fisher (186-1997, college: Syracuse) helped adding 10 points and 14 rebounds. Four Loko Trutnov players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Dragana Domuzin (174-2000) scored 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Loko Trutnov moved-up to eighth place. Loser Slovanka MB dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Loko Trutnov will meet at home higher ranked Sokol HK (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slovanka MB will play against the league's leader KP Brno (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
