Regular Season Round 5: SKM I - Tornado KM 79-75

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked SKM I (3-1) beat 9th ranked Tornado KM (1-4) in Vilniaus 79-75 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tornado KM won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SKM I looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when SKM I made 7 blocks. Forward Nojus Kuliesa (185) nailed 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and center Paulius Rapolis (206-2005) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Emilis Baltrimavicius (203-2005) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Kasparas Latkauskas (-2005) added 20 points and 5 steals respectively for Tornado KM in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SKM I moved-up to third place, which they share with VKKM. Loser Tornado KM keeps the ninth position with four games lost.
