Regular Season Round 4: Bnei Hertzeliya - H.Haifa 85-87

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Winner League took place in Hod Hasharon. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Bnei Hasharon (2-2) to sixth ranked Hapoel Haifa (2-1) 87-85 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Haifa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Anthony Hickey (180-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import swingman Jalen Jones (201-1993, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Hapoel Haifa's coach Sharon Drucker used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American Maurice Kemp (203-1991, college: ECU) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Sandy Cohen III (198-1995, college: Green Bay) added 19 points in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Haifa moved-up to third place, which they share with I.Ness Ziona. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hapoel Haifa is looking forward to face Hapoel Jerusalem (#7) at home in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play against Galil Elion in Kfar Blum and is hoping to win this game.
