Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Nicosia: ENAD (#4) and Keravnos (#5). ENAD (2-2) smashed visiting Keravnos (0-4) by 32 points 78-46. The game without a history. ENAD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Keravnos to just 7 points in third quarter. ENAD forced 27 Keravnos turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Keravnos' players. The winners were led by forward Ligia Ioannou (180-2002) who scored that evening 11 points and 8 rebounds and forward Athina Papagianni (170-1995) supported her with 12 points. ENAD's coach Christos Stylianides felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by Anna Charalambous (170-2001) did not help to save the game for Keravnos. Naturalized British Chrystalla Merkouri (182-1975) added 8 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. ENAD moved-up to third place, which they share with Anorthosis. Keravnos at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Youth Stars. ENAD will play against Anorthosis (#3) in Larnaca in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Keravnos will play against Youth Stars and hopes to get finally their first victory.
