Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Rybnik (4-3) rolled over at home 9th ranked Gliwice 2 (2-4) 101-80 on Wednesday. Rybnik dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Gliwice 2's 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Maciej Krakowczyk (200-1996) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Kacper Wydra (180-2000) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists for the winning side. Five Rybnik players scored in double figures. Filip Maciejewski (192-2005) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Lukasz Laski (189-2005) added 13 points respectively for Gliwice 2 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rybnik. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Gliwice 2 dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with MKS DG 2. Rybnik will meet Bielsko-Biala (#7) on the road in the next round. Gliwice 2 will play against Korona (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
